Balda is a fun game based on a popular Russian pen-and-paper word game of the same name. The goal is to construct the longest word you can from a given number of alphabets. The longer word you can construct, the higher is your score. This computer version can be played both in Russian and English language, which makes it an excellent educational tool for anyone who is learning Russian (or Russian speakers who are learning English). The game has an impressive vocabulary, and the computer player provides competent challenge at higher difficulty levels. Overall, if you enjoy word games, Balda is well worth a look. The relatively short length of each game session makes it ideal for short coffee breaks, as well. Thumbs up!
